Your AI-built app should actually work. I'll make sure it does.

You built something real with Lovable, Bolt, Replit, Cursor or v0. Now it's breaking, people are using it, and every fix the AI tries breaks something else. I'm a software developer who rescues apps like yours: I find what's wrong, fix it, and explain it in plain English.

Fixed price. No hourly surprises.

Sound familiar?

  • You've spent a weekend asking the AI to fix one bug, and now there are three.
  • It works on your laptop but not once it's deployed.
  • Real people are signing up, and you're nervous something will break in front of them.
  • Your hosting or database bill suddenly jumped and you don't know why.
  • You have a demo, a launch or a client waiting, and you can't afford to lose another week.
  • You're not sure whether your users' data is actually private.

If any of these is you, you don't need to learn to code. You need someone who already knows how.

What I fix

  • Bugs and the fix loop. I trace the actual problem instead of patching symptoms.
  • Security. Exposed API keys, open databases, missing access rules, other users' data showing up where it shouldn't.
  • Deployment. Apps that work locally but fail on Vercel, Netlify or wherever they're hosted.
  • Surprise bills. Runaway database queries, unprotected endpoints, usage that's costing you money.
  • Payments and logins. Stripe, authentication and email flows that half work.
  • The basics that keep it alive. Backups, error monitoring, and knowing when something breaks before your users tell you.

I work with apps built on Lovable, Bolt, Replit, Cursor, v0, Supabase, Firebase, Next.js and React. Not sure what yours is built on? That's fine, I'll figure it out.

How it works

  1. Tell me what's going on. A short form or a quick call. Describe it however you can; no technical vocabulary needed.
  2. I look under the hood. I review the code and give you a clear, fixed quote. If the app isn't worth saving, I'll tell you that too.
  3. I fix it. Usually within 5 business days. You get a working app plus a plain-English summary of what was wrong and what I changed.

Two ways to work together

App Rescue — fixed price

A one-time project to make your app production-ready:

  • Full security check and fixes
  • The bugs you know about, plus the ones you don't yet
  • Deployment that works reliably
  • Backups and error monitoring set up
  • A plain-English report you can keep

Keep It Running

For after the rescue, so it stays fixed:

  • Monitoring and updates
  • Small changes and fixes each month
  • Someone to message when something breaks
  • Advice before you build the next feature

Straight talk

Not every app should be patched. Sometimes the fastest, cheapest path is a cleaner rebuild of the parts that matter. If that's the case, I'll tell you before you spend anything, and explain why.

And you don't have to stop building. Keep using AI tools for new ideas. I'll make sure the foundation underneath them holds up.

Why me

I'm Benji Friedman, a software developer based in Berkeley, CA. I build websites with React and Next.js, ship my own apps for iOS, macOS and the web, and co-lead development on an open-source project. I've seen what AI coding tools do well and where they quietly cut corners, and I know how to fix the gap.

FAQ

Do I need to understand code to work with you?

No. Explain the problem in your own words. I'll ask the technical questions and explain everything in plain English.

My app was built entirely with AI. Can you still work on it?

Yes, that's exactly who this is for. Lovable, Bolt, Replit, Cursor, v0 and similar tools all produce real code I can read, fix and improve.

How much does it cost?

App Rescues are a fixed price, quoted before any work starts. No hourly billing surprises.

How long does it take?

Most rescues are done within 5 business days. If yours needs longer, I'll tell you upfront.

Is my app secure?

If it was built quickly with AI tools, there's a good chance something is exposed, such as an API key or a database without proper access rules. A security check is part of every rescue.

What if you can't fix it?

I review your app before quoting. If it can't be fixed sensibly, I'll tell you and recommend what to do instead, and you won't pay for a rescue.

Will I still own my code?

Yes. Everything stays in your accounts and your repository.

Stop fighting your app. Let's get it working.

Tell me what's broken and I'll get back to you within 1 business day with next steps.
